After leaving our first city on the trip in Kraków me and my roommate Chester were running out of laundry. The laundromat slots were filled so we had to do a bit of improvising. This brought back the distant memory of doing laundry by myself for the first time in college and having no clue of what I was doing but just going for it. With a bit of ad libbing we used the removable shower head as a make shift agitator mixed in with some good old fashioned hand washing to complete step one of the travel laundry experience.
Step two after washing our clothes in the shower we proceeded to convert the bathroom sink as our rinse cycle. After a quick rinse we began wringing out our clothes. (*PSA*) If you ever find yourself in this predicament this is by far the most important step of doing travel laundry.
After rinsing and wringing out our clothes I began having a second feeling of Déjà Vu channeling back a core memory of my childhood with my grandmother Pat hanging and pulling clothes off of the clothesline. Through the recommendation of Dr. Wright Chester purchased a travel clothesline called Flex O Line. Here is a link in case you would like one for the next time you travel. I promise this is not a paid ad.
While hanging our clothes on the Flex O Line near the window I couldn't help but feel nostalgic thinking of times hanging laundry on the line with my late grandmother Pat. Remember when I said the most important step of travel laundry is wringing out the clothes after rinsing? Sorry to let you down down Pat but after coming back a few hours later to check on the status of my clothes I found that a few of my clothes were in need of another wringing out.
Below is a picture of our final product.
In the morning believe it or night our clothes were dry and ready for our trip to Zakopane.
